How it works
You arrive to this session as close to camera-ready as possible with a solid plan* in place. We’ll take a few minutes to get on the same page and do last looks and/or minor makeup application, then we jump right in.
The fee for this session is $280 even if you don’t use the full hour. We cannot extend your shoot past one hour.
Short answer: Yes. Long answer: Yes, but there will be a few minutes grace period at the end of the hour to wrap up whatever look we’re on. Just note that if you start a new look at 2:50 and your hour is up at 3, you will not likely get a whole lot of shots from that last look. You’ll want to prioritize the looks that are most important to you and make sure your hair/makeup/facial hair plan makes sense with that order. It takes a little extra planning, but if you like to move quickly, you can get a lot out of those 60 minutes.
Because we move quickly through this session, we recommend getting the “do-and-go” makeup treatment and not paying for travel fees or additional time for you MUA to be here with you. But if that’s not your preference, you can absolutely still bring a makeup artist to your one-hour shoot, just keep in mind that you will have to prep off-site beforehand and arrive to your session as close to camera-ready as possible. Any changes during the shoot should be kept pretty simple unless you don’t need more than a couple looks.
If you prefer to take your time between looks or do more extreme changes (like “no-makeup” makeup to date night glam) then you may want to take a gander at the TWO-HOUR session.
This is not the kind of session where you want to bring a bunch of wardrobe options and decide on the day. You will want to work with someone beforehand, be it us, your agent, or a stylist. And you’ll want to shoot in order of importance in case you run out of time.
You can email us wardrobe options before your shoot and we’ll send you feedback, help you make a plan and put things in order before you get here. Once you are here, we’ll take a look at everything in person, make any minor adjustments necessary, talk about your hair and makeup plan, and get started.
This is really up to how quickly you can move through your looks and what you need to get out of each look. In general, you should plan for 3-4 looks and then bring a few extra options if time allows (it often does).
After the Shoot
The official turnaround to get your proofs is 7-10 days (rarely longer than 7 days). We send you a link to a zip file, which you will want to download directly to your computer. We do a pass of your session to remove all the blinking and talking faces, but we do not make decisions about what is good or…less good…so you will receive several hundred images.
You get 2 fully retouched images included with your session and light adjustments on up to 4 additional selections. Any additional full retouches are $15 per image. The full retouching process generally includes removing blemishes and flyaway hairs, brightening teeth and eyes, cleaning up garments if needed, and giving the photo an extra color pop and sharpen. Light adjustments include removal of a blemish here and there, or a spot on clothing, a less intensive color enhancement if needed and a little sharpening. Feel free to ask if there’s a minor issue on your photo. We’ll let you know if the full retouching fee is necessary.
